AI, robotics and neural-linked cybernetics are incorporating into our world. Soon all the labor we find dangerous, menial or tiresome will be relegated to these new technologies. But I do wonder if this new labor will be available to all or only to the wealthy elite. Like those with the privilege to afford a nanny for their children.
Now imagine an entire generation of our leaders raised this way. Perhaps they’ll be better than the leaders we have now. Or perhaps their sympathies will lie with less with people and more with the machines that raised them. They may even come to see the masses of humanity as more foreign to them than their own servant robots who they’ll think of as trusted aids, confidants and even as family.
When that time comes, I wonder what will happen to the rest of us.
